Als wir im Mai aus dem Wasser geholt wurden, ist uns ein Steuerseil (dieses mal das Stb-Seil) gerissen - das erste hatte uns ja am Start unserer "Atlantiküberquerung" im Stich gelassen. Jetzt hat Rainer dieses auch ersetzt, was diesmal wesentlich schneller ging als beim ersten Mal, da er jetzt genau wusste, wie das ganze "eingefädelt" werden muss. Trotzdem ist das alles noch mit viel Arbeit verbunden, Steuerseil durchziehen, justieren, einfetten und ausprobieren.
Rainer muss dafür durch das halbe Boot turnen, aber das hält fit...
When we were hauled out of the water in May, one of the steering wires (this time the starboard one) broke - the first one had let us down at the start of our "Atlantic crossing". Rainer has now also replaced this one, which went much faster this time than the first time, as he now knew exactly how the whole thing had to be "threaded". Nevertheless, there is still a lot of work involved: pulling the steering wire through, adjusting, greasing and testing.
Rainer has to do gymnastics through half the boat, but that keeps him fit...
