Jetzt also Marbella. Angeblich so mondän - aber der Hafen ist eher enttäuschend. Die Gezeiten und der Schwell machen es etwas ungemütlich, aber der Segelmacher war tatsächlich pünktlich da und hat das Großsegel mitgenommen.
Wir nutzen die Zeit, um die Altstadt, die uns der Segelmacher empfohlen hat, zu besichtigen. Die Altstadt hat uns wieder mit Marbella versöhnt. Wenn man direkt aus dem Hafen kommt, sieht man zuerst die Straße mit den Bars, so typisch touri-mäßig, die Altstadt ist fast einen Kilometer entfernt, wenn uns der Segelmacher nicht davon erzählt hätte, hätten wir sie nicht gefunden.
Der Segelmacher ist wie versprochen am kommenden Tag mit dem reparierten Groß zurück. Leider ist das Wetter im Moment nicht so doll. Es ist zu windig, so dass wir das Großsegel noch nicht anschlagen können.
Rainer hat sich über Predict Wind die aktuellen Vorhersagen angesehen und wir sollten spätestens Montag / Dienstag Marbella verlassen.
Eigentlich wollten wir Heilig Abend auf Gran Canaria sein und mit meiner Mutter feiern, aber das wird wohl nichts....
So now Marbella. Supposedly so sophisticated - but the harbor is rather disappointing. The tides and the swell make it a bit uncomfortable, but the sailmaker was actually there on time and took the mainsail with him.
We use the time to visit the old town, which the sailmaker recommended to us. The old town reconciled us with Marbella again. When you come straight out of the harbor, the first thing you see is the street with the bars, so typically touristy, the old town is almost a kilometer away, if the sailmaker hadn't told us about it, we wouldn't have found it.
As promised, the sailmaker is back the next day with the repaired main. Unfortunately the weather isn't great at the moment. It's too windy so we can't put up the mainsail yet.
Rainer looked at the current forecasts via Predict Wind and we should leave Marbella by Monday / Tuesday at the latest.
We actually wanted to be in Gran Canaria on Christmas Eve and celebrate with my mother, but that's probably not going to happen.....
