Die Temperaturen steigen, man kann jetzt tagsüber schon im T-Shirt draußen sitzen. Die Sonne scheint fast jeden Tag, von den Squalls sehen wir nichts - Gott sei dank. Leider ist der Wind immer noch zu ruhig und auch immer noch aus der falschen Richtung. Die Gridfiles, die wir jeden Tag von der ARC erhalten, machen uns auch keine echte Hoffnung auf Besserung. Wir kommen gut voran, aber langsam. Maren hat angefangen, die Positionen unserer nächsten Konkurrenten aufzumalen, so dass wir ein wenig Wettkampf-Feeling haben.
Wir hatten gehofft, dass heute mindestens Halbzeit wäre, aber das sieht wohl eher nicht so aus...
Die Routine der regelmäßigen Wachen tut gut und gibt dem Tag ein wenig Struktur. Maren ist ein echter Gewinn, ich muss zugeben, dass mir einiges wesentlich schwerer gefallen wäre, wenn wir ohne sie hier wären. Meine Angst ist immer da, aber so kann ich sie zumindest meistens in Schach halten.
Der Vollmond ist gerade vorbei, die Nächte sind zur Zeit sehr hell und man kann die Milchstrasse deutlich sehen. Es ist einfach magisch!
The temperatures are rising, you can now sit outside in a T-shirt during the day. The sun shines almost every day and we don't see any of the squalls - thank God. Unfortunately the wind is still too calm and still from the wrong direction. The grid files that we receive every day from ARC do not give us any real hope for improvement. We are making good progress, but slowly. Maren has started painting the positions of our nearest competitors so that we have a bit of a competitive feel.
We had hoped that today would be at least half time, but it doesn't look like that...
The routine of regular waking is good and gives the day a little structure. Maren is a real asset, I have to admit that things would have been much more difficult for me if we were here without her. My fear is always there, but at least this way I can keep it at bay most of the time.
The full moon has just passed, the nights are very bright at the moment and you can clearly see the Milky Way. It's just magical!
