Wir sind wieder auf dem Weg nach Preveza. Nach unseren Ankerproblemen, haben wir uns endgültig für den Kauf einer neuen Ankerwinsch entschieden. Rainer hat die dann nach einigen Recherchen ebenfalls in der Cleopatra Marina in Preveza bestellt. Da wir auch eine neue Ankerkette benötigen - das hatte sich schon vor den Problemen mit der Winsch angekündigt - und wir diese schon in Preveza bestellt hatten, hat es sich einfach angeboten, auch die Winsch dort zu holen.
Die Ankerkette ist trotz all der Arbeit, die wir in Trinidad darauf verwendet hatten, sie aufzubereiten, wieder fast so rostig wie zuvor und hat auch schon das Gelcoat am Ankerkasten wieder verfärbt.
Also, sind wir jetzt unterwegs, um die 100 m Kette und die Winsch abzuholen und einzubauen. Wie so oft, ist die See spiegelglatt und die Sonne scheint. Es ist einfach wunderschön...
Wir können ab 14.00 Uhr in die Marina, dann muss Rainer die Kette und die Winsch mit dem Dinghi abholen, danach werden wir die Kette auf dem Steg auslegen, die Farbskala aufsprühen, die alte Kette muss dann von Bord, damit sie entsorgt werden kann, der Anker muss von der alten Kette gelöst und an der neuen Kette angebracht werden, dann muss natürlich auch die neue Winsch noch angebracht werden und wenn das alles erledigt ist, wird Rainer mit der gleichen Leine, die wir für die Hahnepot verwendet haben, die Kette im Ankerkasten befestigen... Und dann kann der ganze Kram wieder an Bord gewinscht werden. Easy-peasy, yeah!
We are on our way to Preveza again. After our anchor problems, we finally decided to buy a new anchor windlass. After some research, Rainer also ordered it from the Cleopatra Marina in Preveza. As we also needed a new anchor chain - this had already been foreseeable before the problems with the winch - and we had already ordered this in Preveza, it simply made sense to get the winch there too.
Despite all the work we had done in Trinidad to refurbish it, the anchor chain is almost as rusty as before and has already discolored the gelcoat on the anchor locker again.
So, we are now on our way to collect and install the 100 m of chain and the winch. As so often, the sea is as smooth as glass and the sun is shining. It is simply beautiful...
We can go to the marina from 2 p.m., then Rainer has to pick up the chain and the winch with the dinghy, then we will lay out the chain on the jetty, spray on the color scale, the old chain must then be taken off board so that it can be disposed of, the anchor must be detached from the old chain and attached to the new chain, then of course the new winch must also be attached and when all this is done, Rainer will attach the chain in the anchor locker with the same line that we used for the bridle... And then all the stuff can be winched back on board. Easy-peasy, yeah!
