Geschafft!!
Nach 14 Tagen und 23 Stunden liegen wir in Horta vor dem Marina Office!
2244 Seemeilen liegen hinter uns!
Natürlich ist jeder erst mal am Telefon und berichtet über die heile Ankunft
Jetzt wollen wir erst mal lecker Essen gehen und dann endlich auch in Peter’s Cafe Sport und uns den lange ersehnten Gin Tonic gönnen.
(Ich habe bisher immer von “Peter’s Sports Bar” geschrieben, meinte aber Peter’s Cafe Sport hier in Horta. Die andere Bar gibt es zwar auch, allerdings irgendwo in Florida ;-))
Nach einem Tag Erholung, werden wir hier einige Wartungsarbeiten vornehmen, Proviant auffrischen und am 26.04. (so der Wetterbericht) planen wir, weiter zu segeln nach Lagos / Portugal.
Drei unserer Crewmitglieder werden uns hier verlassen und für die nächsten ca. 1000 sm sind wir dann zu dritt (Maren, Tom und ich).
Wir werden wieder unsere Positionsupdates hier einstellen und auch den ein oder anderen Post - da unser Iridium-Guthaben (Satellitentelefon) aber langsam zur Neige geht, werden wir das in erster
Linie für Wetterberichte nutzen und es kann sein, dass nur jeden zweiten Tag ein Post kommt.

After 14 days and 23 hours we are in Horta in front of the Marina Office!
2244 nautical miles are behind us!
Of course, everyone is first on the phone and reports on the safe arrival
Now we want to go out for a delicious meal and then finally go to Peter's Cafe Sport and treat ourselves to the long-awaited gin and tonic.
(I have always written about "Peter's Sports Bar", but meant Peter's Cafe Sport here in Horta. The other bar is also there, but somewhere in Florida ;-))
After a day of rest, we will do some maintenance work here, refresh provisions and on April 26th (according to the weather report) we plan to continue sailing to Lagos / Portugal.
Three of our crew members will leave us here and for the next approx. 1000 nm there will be three of us (Maren, Tom and I).
We will post our position updates here again and also one or the other post - but since our Iridium credit (satellite phone) is slowly running out, we will primarily use this for weather reports and it may be that there is only one post every other day.
