Nachdem die Farbe gestern Nachmittag getrocknet war, haben wir angefangen, die Kette an Bord zu winschen. Rainer hat die Kette vom Steg aus nach und nach ins Wasser gleiten lassen und ich habe sie entsprechend mit der jetzt neuen und endlich wieder funktionsfähigen Ankerwinsch an Bord geholt. Alles hat reibungslos geklappt, bis wir zum Anker kamen, plötzlich ging nichts mehr. Wahrscheinlich hat sich der Anker irgendwo festgehakt, da es aber schon dunkel wurde, konnten wir nicht weiter machen.
Heute Morgen hat sich Rainer dann sein Tauchzeug geschnappt und ist zum Anker getaucht. Tatsächlich, der Anker hat sich in der Befestigung des Schwimmstegs verfangen. Rainer hat den Anker dann aus den Verstrebungen gelöst und wir haben ihn dann - mit Hilfe eines freundlichen Nachbarn - wieder auf den Steg verfrachtet. Jetzt haben wir den Anker erst ins Dinghi verbracht und dann von dort an Bord gewinscht.
Das hat natürlich alles etwas länger gedauert als gedacht, daher werden wir uns jetzt in die Bucht vor Preveza verholen und dort ankern. Ich freue mich schon auf unseren Feierabend-Ouzo, den haben wir uns redlich verdient...
After the paint had dried yesterday afternoon, we started to winch the chain on board. Rainer gradually slid the chain into the water from the jetty and I brought it on board with the now new and finally functional windlass. Everything went smoothly until we got to the anchor and suddenly nothing worked. The anchor probably got stuck somewhere, but as it was already getting dark, we couldn't continue.
This morning Rainer grabbed his diving gear and dived to the anchor. Sure enough, the anchor got caught in the ground tackle of the floating dock. Rainer then released it from the struts and - with the help of a friendly neighbor - we put it back on the jetty. Now we first put the anchor in the dinghy and from there winched it on board.
Of course, it all took a little longer than expected, so we will now move to the bay off Preveza and anchor there. I'm already looking forward to our after-work ouzo, we've really earned it...
