Vorgestern sind wir von Poros nach Zakynthos gesegelt und haben im Hafen angelegt. Aber hier ist ja immer was Neues. Diesmal lagen wir im äußeren Becken, und da es mal wieder windig war, haben wir fast die gesamte Kettenlänge gesteckt und ca. 2 - 3 m Abstand vom Kai gehalten. Zwar sind so Ein- und Ausstieg nur über das Dinghi möglich, aber wir lagen sicher. Dann haben wir proviantiert, sauber gemacht und die Kabinen vorbereitet.
Die neue Crew ist heute Morgen angekommen und wir haben uns dann auf den Weg gemacht. Wir wollen durch den Golf von Patras über den Kanal von Korinth nach Athen segeln und das erste Stück - von Zakynthos zum Eingang vom Golf - ist das längste. Wir haben es dann bei schönem Wetter gut zur Ormos Skrofa geschafft und an einer der Bojen festgemacht. Das ist hier sinnvoll, da es zum Ufer hin wahnsinnig flach wird und man als Ortsunkundiger hier leicht auflaufen kann.
Die Gebühr für die Boje ist gering und wenn man in der Taverne essen geht, wird man an Bord abgeholt und auch wieder zurück gebracht, was sinnvoll ist, da die Zufahrt zum Anleger nicht leicht zu finden ist.
Wir haben super gegessen und können das hier wirklich nur weiterempfehlen.
The day before yesterday we sailed from Poros to Zakynthos and moored in the harbor. But there's always something new here. This time we were moored in the outer basin, and as it was windy again, we used almost the entire length of the chain and kept about 2 - 3 m away from the quay. This meant we could only get in and out via the dinghy, but we were safe. Then we provisioned, cleaned and prepared the cabins.
The new crew arrived this morning and we set off. We want to sail through the Gulf of Patras via the Corinth Canal to Athens and the first stretch - from Zakynthos to the entrance to the Gulf - is the longest. We made it to Ormos Skrofa in fine weather and moored at one of the buoys. This makes sense here, as it gets incredibly shallow towards the shore and it's easy to run aground here if you're not familiar with the area.
The fee for the buoy is low and if you go to eat in the taverna, you are picked up on board and taken back again, which makes sense as the access to the jetty is not easy to find.
We had a great meal and can only recommend this place.
